Introduction to the CEO of Hypo Frost

Hello, readers,

Welcome to HYPO Frost Bookstore and Magazine. I want to take a moment to share the heart behind this vision and what inspired its creation.

HYPO Frost began as an idea a couple of years ago while I was speaking with poets and short story writers who felt frustrated—writers whose work was breathtaking, but who struggled to find spaces where their voices could truly be seen and appreciated. Many of them were older, full of wisdom and talent, yet their writing wasn’t being given the attention it deserved.

That’s when the first thought came to me: I’m going to start a magazine.

You may be wondering how the name HYPO Frost came to be. When I first imagined putting this together, it was winter. The cold was deep, and frost felt inevitable. The word “hypo” simply came to mind—meaning “low.” The writers I was speaking with were feeling low, not because of a lack of talent, but because their work wasn’t being viewed equally. And winter, of course, brings frost.

That was the birth of HYPO Frost Magazine.

A year later, if someone had told me I would become the owner of a writing platform that houses so many incredible poets and storytellers… or that I would be the CEO of a magazine doing well… and now an online bookstore too—I would have looked at them like they had three heads.

But I truly believe there is a reason for everything.

My mission is simple: to bring attention to writers who deserve to be seen. The voices on our platform matter—independent writers, poets, creators who may not always have the biggest spotlight, but whose work carries real power and truth.

What makes HYPO Frost different from other platforms?

We may not be the biggest platform, but we have a big heart.

This space was created so people can be seen. If not through a book they’ve self-published, then through our magazine. One way or another, eyes will be on them.

Along the way, I want to keep connecting with writers and creators in general. I see this growing, but I never want it to grow so large that we forget where we started. Too many platforms forget that the work comes from the people.

And yes, you may be wondering about AI-generated writing. The poets and writers on our site are genuine—they write their work themselves. I don’t want to shut people out. Too many have already been turned away, made to feel less than.

This is a small start, but it’s leading toward something bigger.

One snowflake leads to another… and another… until it becomes a storm.

HYPO Frost will be that slow-building storm—bringing attention to those who truly deserve it.

So with that being said, and with gratitude, I want to welcome you again to HYPO Frost Bookstore and Magazine.

Please feel free to reach out if you have questions, or if you’d like your work showcased in our bookstore or featured in our magazine.

Thank you so much,

Fia Naturie
